VOLUNTEER WORK
I want to contribute to the planet and society in my own way. This is why I voluntarily organise sustainability and social activities.

EVENT COORDINATOR MASTERS COMMITTEE
Next to my MSc in Sweden, I have been an active member of LundaEkonomerna Student Union at Lund University, School of Economics and Management. LundaEkonomerna exists to represent the interests of the students at LUSEM and its 3500 members. Within LundaEkonomerna, I worked as the Event Coordinator of the Masters' Committee 2021/2022. As part of the Master Committee, we worked as a team of seven individuals to organise various events like After Schools, different Sittningar and our main event: the Graduation Gala. The COVID-19 pandemic restricted our international master’s students from attending events and limited the types of events and the capacities of events we envisioned. Despite this challenging year, I showed creativity, tenacity, and dedication in ensuring that all our students were able to experience the Swedish culture in a social matter as much as possible.

BEACH CLEAN-UPS
As I often walk at the beach in Scheveningen and want to contribute positively towards clean beaches, I pick up trash individually or in groups. Besides, being a volunteer in the Green Hearts Team of NewMotion, I organized a clean-up day in Amsterdam with former colleagues.

DOG WALKING
Since I was young, I have had a love towards dogs. As I don't have a dog myself, I was looking for a way to contribute positively towards society while doing something I lenjoy. This is why I started a personal small dog walking platform.
For the past two years, I have voluntary been walking approximately three times a week with dogs in the neighbourhood of which the owners are not able to provide long walks on a daily basis. As I live at the beach in Scheveningen, I enjoy taking the dogs to the beach to go running or to have long walks together in the dunes.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
As I am driven to contribute to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, I volunteer at SDG-related projects. For example, I assisted in creating sustainable projects, supported events, and attended trainings and SDG-oriented events such as the SDG Action Day 2020 and 2021.

PAINTING WORKSHOPS
As I enjoy international environments, organising projects and drawing, I assisted my father with groups of Van Gogh painting workshops on tourboats in Amsterdam.
This work included organising, planning and assisting the workshops.

TRAINING STAFF
As I enjoy working with people and have strong presentational skills, I have chosen the elective ' Training Staff' in my third phase of Hotelschool. During this course, I learned everything about how to train, coach and motivate a new or existing team. In order to put these new learning skills in practise, together with another student, we initiated a voluntary training on giving and receiving feedback for the bar staff of a hockey club in Leiden. The training took three hours and was tailor made towards the needs and wants of the problems the staff was facing during work.

RAISING MONEY FOR A GOOD CAUSE
Together with a group of international students, we initiated a project to raise money for a good cause for people with disabilities. In collaboration with a restaurant, we baked and sold cakes together with a loving group of people whom have a mental or physical disability.

SAIL AMSTERDAM
As I enjoy international environments and wanted to learn about large scaled events, in 2015 I took the opportunity to work for the largest public event of The Netherlands, SAIL Amsterdam. During this week, I had multiple tasks such as being a hostess and guide at public information desks and hospitality spots.

BEACH CLEAN-UPS
As I care about the planet, during my time studying at Miami Beach, I organized monthly beach clean-ups together with my international friends.
